PROJECT 2011 - What will we be doing?

In April, 2011 our team will travel to Kampala, Uganda.  While we are there we will deliver the following programs and projects to the children of Jordan House and to many hundreds of people in the local slum community of Kasubi.

Health

  • Dental Hygiene Education - providing tooth brushes and oral hygiene education to Jordan House and Community Program children. 
  • HIV/AIDS Education - to secondary school students and families from the local community.
  • First Aid Education and Kits - to Jordan House and community households.
  • Palliative Care Education and Kits - to Jordan House and community women to care for those dying of HIV/AIDS in their homes.

Education

  • Professional Development – delivering programs and resources, encouraging teachers in the local secondary school.
  • Provision of School supplies - to Jordan House children, community children and a remote area rural school.
  • Provision of Sporting Equipment - to Jordan House children, local schools and a remote area rural school.

Jordan House Maintenance

  • Painting the Children's dromitories - 4 large rooms receive a fresh coat of paint and a spruce up! 

In order to deliver these programs and projects we need to raise a minimum of $10,000 through fundraising and sponsorship.
